Rose Valentine’s Day Cards

Students learned about graphic arts and illustrator careers and discovered the commercially popular work of Mary Engelbreit.  They also learned to draw roses in a bold, graphic style with complementary colors using markers and colored pencils just like the professionals.  Armed with this practice, they produced their own Valentine's Day cards for someone special in their families showcasing roses as a design motif.
