Biography

Sharon Padua Bogolubov is an artist and certified K-12 art educator with experience in drawing, painting, encaustics, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, digital photography and mixed media. She is passionate about teaching art and sharing her love for the arts with others.

Sharon has experience teaching students of all ages on Long Island, Brooklyn and currently in the Bronx, New York. In her teaching practice, Sharon incorporates a variety of art making techniques and demonstrations that blend art history with contemporary art information and processes. Props, experiential exercises, theatre techniques, music and a wide range of information and materials are utilized to inspire and motivate students to create and learn. Some classes are taught traditionally, while others are choice-based. During the school closures due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Sharon taught live digitally and created videos and how-to handouts to keep her students productive. She's thrilled to be back in the school guiding her young artists.

Sharon is a life learner and in perpetual pursuit of discovering more about the world through art study, art making and travel.  She has visited almost every state in America and over 50 countries worldwide.  She lived in Europe, Russia and currently resides in Sea Cliff, New York with her husband.
